A Few Favorites

Where I've been in awe.

These are places I've been. Places I've taken clients. The ones I keep returning to. Not a complete list. Just a lens.

I.

Egypt

“Welcome home.” That was the first thing the guide said when I stepped off the bus on my first trip there.

Her name was Noha. I got chills. I was in the motherland. That trip changed how I see travel, and how I see myself.

I build Egypt trips for travelers who want the same kind of shift. A felucca on the Nile at sunset. The light at Karnak in the late afternoon. A rooftop dinner in old Cairo where the call to prayer drifts across the river.

Best for

Solo travelers, couples, history-rich travel, anyone in a season of life that calls for transformation.

Moment

Sunset on the Nile from a wooden felucca, the call to prayer floating across the water.

II.

Greece

Greece is light.

Cycladic white against impossible blue. Olive groves that have been waiting two thousand years. Terraces above quiet bays where lunch is the only plan.

I build Greek trips that move between islands. A few days on Naxos. A week chartering a small boat. A quiet finish in a stone village far from the cruise traffic.

Best for

Couples, honeymoons, anniversaries, restorative weeks.

Moment

A long lunch on a terrace in Folegandros. The wine local, the bread fresh, the afternoon yours.

III.

Croatia

Croatia is the coast designed for slow days.

Dubrovnik before the cruise crowds. Hvar in lavender season. An afternoon on a small yacht anchored off Korčula with nowhere to be.

For travelers who want Europe without the obvious. Stone alleys, harbor dinners, the Adriatic at golden hour.

Best for

Couples, small groups, anyone who has already seen Italy.

Moment

A swim off the back of a sailboat near Vis. The water cold and clear, the coast empty in either direction.

IV.

Bahamas

The closest place that feels furthest away.

Water the bluest you have ever seen. Calm, peaceful, impeccable. I build Bahamas trips for travelers celebrating something. Anniversaries. Milestone birthdays. The need to be unreachable for a week.

A private cay rental. Eleuthera’s pink sand. A boat overnight for the clients who want the extra story.

Best for

Couples, milestone celebrations, anyone needing to fully unplug.

Moment

A hammock on a private beach at sunset. No itinerary. No phone signal.

V.

Japan

Japan is where every detail matters.

Tokyo’s quiet alleys at dawn before the city wakes. A ryokan in Hakone with onsen overlooking the cedars. Kyoto in autumn, where the temples and the kaiseki dinner both take their time.

I build Japan trips that balance the cities with the country. Two weeks minimum. The flight is long, and you will want the time to slow into the rhythm.

Best for

Travelers who appreciate craft, couples, anyone in a season of life that calls for stillness.

Moment

A pre-dawn walk through Kyoto’s Higashiyama district. The temples still asleep. So are the cameras.

VI.

Bali

Bali is the spiritual restart travelers don’t realize they’re looking for.

I just returned. Rice terraces in Ubud at sunrise. A cliff villa in Uluwatu with the Indian Ocean below. A blessing ceremony with a Balinese family that doesn’t appear in any guidebook.

I build Bali trips for wellness travelers, for anyone in a season of life that calls for stillness, and for the people who want a real break from their own routine.

Best for

Wellness, solo travelers, couples, restorative weeks.

Moment

A water blessing ceremony at a small temple. Locals barely glance up. You’re not a tourist; you’re a guest.

VII.

Venice

Venice belongs to the morning.

Before the cruise ships. Before the day-trippers. Before the canals turn loud.

I build Venice trips that stay on the quieter sestieri. Cannaregio at breakfast. A palazzo apartment for two. A single dinner at a restaurant the guidebooks have not found yet.

Best for

Couples, photographers, anyone who wants the city when it is still a city.

Moment

A small wooden boat at 6am. The canals empty. The light catching the palaces just so.
